About

Our mission statement

Output Magazine is a cross-platform trade publication dedicated to all things visual communications: from print and digital signage to manufacturing, sign making, design and emerging technology. We deliver a constant stream of news combined with expert-led editorial and interviews with the interesting players in the industries we cover.

Positioned globally, we use our platform to champion key causes that matter to the businesses we write for, such as recruitment issues, funding challenges, environmental pressures and the campaign for equality within the technology sector.

Mary Buck

An industry veteran when it comes to matters of commercial strategy and connecting businesses to the masses, her sales flair and ability have been evident during her tenures at Informa working on Ipex and North Print and Pack.

James Matthews-Paul

Output’s editor-in-chief and founder is the old man of the office but the young thing in the sector, renowned for his outspoken commentary on issues such as recruitment, the environment and diversity – and for his hair.

Ben McCabe

While Ben’s hopeless handeye coordination nixes any chances of a sporting career as a cricketer, his stockpile of talents hits plenty of sixes in our books. Ben’s remit focuses on both written and video editorial content, as well as graphic design.

Dara Jegede

Dara has delved into the world of print, digital signage and graphic design, bringing with her experience in business, law and tech. Her Output life revolves around generating all types of content and keeping the boys away from the pub.

Laurel Brunner

With extensive experience in pre-press and digital production technologies, Laurel is a sought-after consultant and speaker in the industry and is the founder of the Verdigris Project.

Sophie Matthews-Paul

A digital consultant of some 30 years’ standing, Sophie writes for a number of magazines world-wide. Known affectionately in the industry as ‘Mrs Ink-Jet’, rumours suggest that she herself might have invented the printing process.

Sam Curtis

New recruit Sam works across our publishing and PR arms, jockeying Twitter, making coffee and developing her skills across our portfolio. She also takes a mean photograph (see #StartPress) and antagonises McCabe.

Annie Curtis

Annie wears many hats at Output, fulfilling vital roles from credit control to advertising administration, Annie’s extensive experience lends a wellorganised methodology to our complex and busy publication.
