XYZ Printing has joined forces with Microsoft to integrate its software with Microsoft's 3D Builder app. Models can be created using the app on Windows 10 devices.

The combination will enable users to print directly from the app and save models as PLY, STL or 3MF files. Customers with Windows 10 and XYZ Printing's da Vinci printers will also be able to automatically install new printer drivers with a Windows Update.

"Microsoft is on the cutting edge of technology," explains Simon Chen, chief executive officer of XYZ Printing and New Kinpo Group. "With Windows 10 and 3D Builder, we're pleased to hear that XYZprinting customers who upgrade their operating systems will have software that fully supports the latest in 3D printing designing and experience the seamless 3D printing process."
