The Magic Touch supports 'Make it in Design' Summer School 2015
Make it in Design will run its online course Summer School for a second year starting on July 6th. The four-week programme aims to help participants understand working to a brief, give them the opportunity to connect with other designers around the world and to grow their portfolio.
The initiative, brainchild of surface pattern designer Rachael Taylor, has partnered with the Magic Touch, manufacturer and seller of dye-sublimation materials and equipment, to offer nine participants the chance to see their designs printed onto accessories such as bag and mugs.
Students will also have the chance to get their work published, be featured in the online publication MOYO and win a place on the up-coming course from The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design – also run by Taylor.
"I'm excited for Summer School to get started again this year," expresses Taylor. "Our briefs, inspired by 2016 trends predicted by WGSN, are jam-packed with word and design prompts, colour palettes and more. "
We'll also be offering complimentary resources such as room stock photography, texture graphics and a whole range of other things depending on which track your on to help build a strong and stunning body of work."
