Ooh Media has unveiled its 236sq m screen at Melbourne's Bourke Street Mall in Australia. The six-storey display is capable of running animated footage, movie trailers and digital ads.

The Daktronic system spans 8.41m x 28.16m and took two years to develop. In addition to airing advertisements, 'The Bourke' will show local news, entertainment and weather, which will be updated by Ooh Media's content management system, Argyle.

"The Bourke is the centrepiece of our digital strategy," comments Noel Cook, Ooh's group director. "With millions of dollars spent and two years in the making, it is the pinnacle of interaction allowing creative engagement with live feeds and social media capabilities.

"We're giving brands the opportunity to showcase content that will not only add to Melbourne’s vibrant cultural fabric, but literally turn heads in a city that boasts being Australia’s shopping mecca."
