Sappi is gearing up for a hectic autumn by showcasing its speciality papers for labelling and packaging at three separate shows. As well as returning to FachPack, where it will show its Atelier folding box board for the first time at an exhibition, the company will attend both Labelexpo in Brussels and Packexpo in Las Vegas for the first time to promote its line of Algro Sol silicone base papers and affirm its presence in the US market respectively.

Atelier is a multi-ply board produced on a single-wire board machine, offering brightness levels of 99 percent on the top side and 98 percent on the reverse to accommodate double-sided printing requirements. The product, which is produced in the company's Maastricht mill, is offered in weights ranging from 220 to 305gsm.

As well as Algro Sol, Sappi will demonstrate its portfolio for wet-glue labelling at Labelexpo, including the Parade range of papers with a single, coated side.

"Regardless of how demanding brand owner requirements for labels and packaging might be, our substrates are ideal for meeting those needs," claims Thomas Kratochwill, director for sales and marketing at Sappi Speciality Papers. "Packaging converters, brand owners, designers and print finishers will get evidence on how the flexibility of Sappi speciality papers contributes to the visible, tactile and protective qualities of the finished package. Our goal is to introduce one innovation each year and we are on track to do so in 2015."
