WS Packaging Group and beauty products manufacturer Vogue International have switched to Avery Dennison's Global MDO film for labelling Vogue's OGX hair care line.

The change follows a supply chain assessment carried out using Avery Dennison's Greenprint tool, which evaluated the sustainability of Vogue and WS's operations. The results indicated that replacing their current film with the thinner Global MDO would reduce their environmental impact by between 26 to 36 percent due to a reduction in resource and energy use, as well as cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions and waste.

"Vogue International is committed to reducing our environmental impact and increasing transparency while maintaining our commitment to sustainable practices," states Jamie Kontz, marketing and product development manager at Vogue. "We encourage our suppliers and business associates to also make an effort toward practices that are not only commercially sound, but have a positive impact for future generations."

"By combining our converting and packaging expertise with high-performance films like Global MDO, we're able to deliver sustainable benefits and shelf impact for leading brands like Vogue," comments Wayne Richter, chief supply chain officer at WS Packaging.
