FESPA 2015 sees 'highest attendance figures yet'
The organisers of FESPA 2015 have revealed that a 'record' number of delegates attended the event in Cologne, Germany, from May 18th – 22nd.
In total, around 43,447 visitors graced the Koln Messe over the five days, representing an increase of 17 percent over its London event in 2014. More than half (23,137) of attendees were unique visitors, while the show also saw more delegates extend their visit beyond one day.
"The fact that so many visitors committed more than a day to the show reflects the vast spectrum of innovative products and applications that were there to be explored, and cements FESPA's reputation as the most comprehensive global event for wide format and speciality print," comments chief executive Neil Felton.
The year's event, themed the 'universe of print', combined screen and digital print with three other spheres: European Sign Expo for non-printed signage, FESPA Fabric showcasing garment printing and the newly launched Printeriors, which focused on print use for interior décor.
"This was the most colourful, most comprehensive FESPA event we have ever delivered, and printers from all over the world touched down in Cologne, ready to discover their universe of print," Felton adds. "This record attendance is an unmistakable signal of the renewed energy, optimism and engagement of our global community of suppliers and service providers."
