Konica Minolta announces latest print-head developments
Konica Minolta has unveiled three industrial ink-jet print-heads that are set for mass production early next year.
Building on the company's MEMS technology, the heads will feature 1,024 nozzles in a high-density array to enable higher resolution, more accurate results and improved ink performance. The heat-resistant design means that the print-heads are capable of handling both low- and high-viscosity inks, from aqueous to UV-curable and solvent.
The compact formation and higher print resolution also means manufacturers can develop machines with smaller footprints that are suitable for various needs, such as commercial and label printing and even printed electronics.
